Chi Varnado, a Ramona resident, is a columnist with the San Diego Union Tribune and has been contributing writer for The San Diego Reader and Ramona Patch.com. Her memoir, A CANYON TRILOGY: Life Before, During and After the Cedar Fire, was a 2008 San Diego Book Award Finalist; and her children’s book The Tale of Broken Tail, was a 2013 San Diego Book Award Finalist.
